Angels make tin appeal

Hyde-based Sandwich Angels are appealing for donations of tins of meat as the group is running 'desperately' short.

Volunteers make around 2,500 sandwiches a week for homeless people across Tameside and Manchester, so rely on regular donations to keep stocks replenished.

Drop off points include Hyde Morrisons, Bennett's Staff Bureau, Newton Co-op, Stacey's Hair Salon and Paper Tulips.

You can also drop off donations at St Mary's Community Hall on Talbot Road, Hyde where the Sandwich Angels meet from 9.00am to 10.30am every Wednesday and Thursday.

Romiley and Marple Lions Club Welfare Chairman Terry Harding and club members have been actively involved in helping and will the Lions plan to continue supporting this worthwhile cause.
